Top 5 Cryptocurrency Apps on Android in the Netherlands: Q1 2025 Performance

In the first quarter of 2025, the cryptocurrency app market in the Netherlands showed varied performance trends across the top five applications on the Android platform. This data, provided by Sensor Tower, offers insights into weekly downloads and active user numbers for these leading apps.

Pi Network saw a notable surge in downloads, particularly in mid-February, where numbers peaked at about 12.5K. This was accompanied by a significant increase in weekly active users, reaching a high of approximately 127K towards the end of February.

For Bitvavo | Buy Bitcoin & Crypto, the quarter began with a strong download performance, peaking at around 10.6K in mid-January. However, the subsequent weeks witnessed a decline, with downloads stabilizing at around 1.3K by the end of March. Active users initially decreased from 372K to 305K but saw a slight recovery towards the end of the quarter.

OKX: Buy Bitcoin BTC & Crypto also experienced an increase in downloads, peaking at over 12.9K in mid-February, before a decline towards March. Active users mirrored this trend, reaching a peak of 32.2K before settling around 18.7K by the end of the quarter.

Bybit: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto started the quarter with steady downloads, peaking at 3.6K in mid-January. However, a gradual decline was observed, with downloads dropping to about 1.1K by the end of March. Active user numbers followed a similar downward trend, decreasing from 76K to 48.7K.

Lastly, Phantom showed a steady decrease in downloads from 5.2K in early January to 500 by the end of March. Active users also declined throughout the quarter, falling from 30.8K to 13.8K.
